Thirty-nine years ago, I bought my first file cabinet. I was sixteen.
I didn’t know it then, but this was to be a more significant event for me than my first car, or even my first “experience” with a girl. The Renault is now rust or paperclips and the girl is happily married to someone else, but the cardboard file cabinet’s many successors – no two alike – are still with me, thousands of miles from where I first acquired them, sheltering the physical manifestations of my curiosity.
And now there’s the Internet, the perfect medium for sharing those interests with others without imposing on their time. If you are reading this, it’s because a search engine led you here, because I might have something useful to offer you.
There. Now you can stop reading this tedious introduction and get on with what you came for. Welcome to my weblog!
